| 1982 | Established in Hong Kong as “Swank International Ophthalmic Products Co. Ltd.”, a quality manufacturer and exporter of prescription glass lenses with global client base. |
| 1989 | In line with the company's expansion, major production lines were moved to Henggang, Shenzhen under the continual supervision of experienced Hong Kong production staff. |
| 1992 | In order to strengthen the operation management and upgrade the product quality, the company introduced the Total Quality Management concept in 1992 and was accredited the ISO 9002:1987 quality system certificate by SGS in October 1992 – which was the first optical company in Hong Kong and China to obtain this award. |
| 1993 | Swank Group went into a joint venture with Guangdong Group and formed "Dongguan Yueheng Optical Co.Ltd.”All glass lens production was then moved from Henggang, Shengzhen to Xiegang, Dongguan and the production line was expanded to include plastic injection and glass polarized sections. |
| 1996 | The company successfully developed nylon ( named‘LYX ' ) sunlens and became the first company in the world to manufacture sunglass lenses made from polyamide material. The company also obtained the sole manufacturing right to produce polyamide sunlens in 1997. Since then, the market share of polyamide sunlens continued to increase each year. |
| 2001 | In accordance with the requirements of ISO 9000 – 2000 version, the company has reviewed its quality system and successfully obtained the ISO 9001:2000 quality system certificate. |
| 2003 | he company participated in the Hong Kong Awards for Industry – Productivity-and obtained the Productivity Certificate of Merit – became also the first optical company in Hong Kong to achieve this award. Until now, the company actively expands its business, continuously strengthens its overseas and domestic market penetration and further promotes new product evelopment, targeting to provide an even better quality product and services to old and new customers alike. |
